Gravitational Redshift The color of light from the same object located at diffe

Description
Gravitational Redshift
The color of light from the same object located at different distances from a mass
appears different as seen from far away. The photons that leave the vicinity of the
massive object lose energy and are therefore redshifted. The closer the light
source is to the mass, the redder the light appears; hence the name
gravitational redshift. The same argument applies to light leaving the surfaces of
different stars.
