Location of the Planets Relative to the Sun

Description
Location of the Planets Relative to the Sun
The four small, rocky planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars—are closer to the Sun than are the large gaseous ones—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. (Note that the distances are not drawn to scale. If they were, Earth would be almost 11 meters, or 36 ft, from the Sun, and Neptune about 330 meters, or 1080 ft.)
