i have four questions that I am struggling with for the Physioex 9.0 exercise 3 activity questions and was wondering if anyone else could help me!

Activity 6 question 3 - " suggest several ways to pharmacologically overcome a nuerons refractory period and thereby increase the action potential frequency."

activity 1 question 3-
describe what would happen to a resting membrane potential if the concentration of large intracellular anions that are unable to cross the membrane is experimentally increased"

Activity 7 - question 2. " when you burn your finger on a hot stove, you feel sharp, immediate pan, which later becomes slow throbbing pain. these two types of pain are carried by different pain axons. speculate on the axonal diameter and extent of myelination of these axons"

Activity 8. - question 1 " if you add more sodium to the extracellular solution, could the sodium substitute for the missing calcium?"

if you could hellp that would be great  :D

Activity 6 question 3 - " suggest several ways to pharmacologically overcome a nuerons refractory period and thereby increase the action potential frequency."

Two ways to overcome the relative refractory period are to increase the stimulus frequency and the strength of the stimulus. Pharmacologically, this would require timed release of the medication in bursts of increasing amounts.

The sharp immediate pain is probably carried by an A fiber with large diameter and heavy myelination. The slower dull pain is probably carried by a C fiber with small diameter and no myelination.
