Post by: Nurse on Feb 13, 2011
What is the chemical structure of Zinc? Because I found this picture on Google Images
View Image Here (http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/L-Fucose_pyranose_chemical_structure.png&imgrefurl=http://www.macroevolution.net/biology-dictionary-fafi.html&usg=__NQuY81M75-DcWjipameUhx2iPDM=&h=925&w=1215&sz=5&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=KpSliJVg09XIqM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=155&ei=kEtYTannEdS2twfD_sCkDQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dchemical%2Bstructure%2Bof%2Bzinc%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D917%26bih%3D518%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=634&vpy=227&dur=4641&hovh=196&hovw=257&tx=129&ty=220&oei=kEtYTannEdS2twfD_sCkDQ&page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:14,s:0)

but the other pictures on google are so complex! They're like all different! I just want a chemical of structure of just zinc. thanks!

Nurse, zinc is an element. What you've shown is a carbohydrate. Zinc is represented as Zn and that's it. Elements / single atoms do not have structures as they are too small to be visualized using technology.
