PhysioEx 9.0 Exercise 3 Activity 8 Review Sheet (1-5 Answers)
I had trouble with these so I found the answers worth sharing  ;) :

1.   The number of synaptic vesicles released increases when the stimulus intensity increases.

2.   There is no neurotransmitter release from the axon terminal when there are no calcium ions in the extracellular solution. Exocytosis of the synaptic vesicles is calcium dependent.

3.   Only a few were released with low Ca2+.

4.   The neurotransmitter release was less when magnesium was added.

5.   When magnesium is added to the extracellular fluid it blocks the calcium channels and inhibits the release of neurotransmitter.

What did you get through the Activity Lab itself, not for the Review section?  I'm having trouble with the lab itself and not the Review.
