A gene is known to have three alleles: p, q, and r. The frequency of p is estimated at 0.70. Thus, the frequencies or q and r must be 0.15 each.

False... The three frequencies can assume any value as long as they all sum to 1.0. Moreover, for a three-allele gene, knowing the frequency of just one allele is not sufficient to determine the frequencies of the other two alleles.
