This goes back to the whole nature versus nurture debate. You need to nurture a child's so grow up normally and learn to do the right things, if you don't they they will go off track and carry on life the wrong way e.g. not get a job..this will lead to a bad quality of life.

Emotionally, you need to nurture the child so they can deal with there own problems by them-self and so they learn to be independent... also to comfort them for when they do struggle and get upset.

Being nurtured well will effect the child intellectual needs because they learn to do the right things, which can develop their confidence and allow then to find themselves. They may the right decisions which means they have a more positive approach and are more determined, which means they are more successful. Without this the child would not learn about the real world properly, not understand, and start doing things wrong...

Socially, teaching the child well will develop their social skills, how they interact with other peoples, approach, manners, the people they make friends with. Without teaching the child this they will end up in the wrong crowd of people which could effect their schooling and home life.
