what is justice?how does criminal justice relate to wider equity or fairness

If there is a certain punishment for crime proved in the court of law, then it doesn't matter whether the criminal is a millionaire or just another guy from the street . Both of them will be given the same sentence. That's how it relates to other wider notions of equity and fairness.


Everyone has their own interpretation of justice. Most would agree that justice is a state in which everyone gets what they deserve, it would also be agreed that justice is something that is lacking in today's society.

When people speak of justice, they may be speaking from an individual perspective; they may be speaking from a perspective that best suits their own interpretation of justice. What is justice to one may be injustice to another.

In terms of general justice, it would be agreed that ending world hunger and poverty and giving everyone an equal shot at life's pleasures and opportunities all constitute justice.

Justice has many definitions. One could mean treatment through a logical point of view. Here, each person gets what they truly deserve, BUT non of these people receive the same treatment, each person is treated individually and based on what they have done, what goals they have etc. So there is no EQUALITY in treatment, but EQUALITY in logic, used to give them what they deserve.
