The quadrants of the stomach are broken down into 4 quadrants and are separated by the midline of the umbilicus, Best way to visualize it is making a + sign at the site. The two upper quadrants are called the upper left quadrant and the upper right quadrant. When describing the quadrants it is always from the direction of the patient not from the examiner's point of view.

The organs listed in each quadarnt should be just memeorized.

The RUQ will contain
Liver, Gall bladder with biliary tree
Duodenum and Head of pancreas
Hepatic flexure of colon

The LUQ will contain
Stomach
Spleen
Left lobe of liver
Pancreas
Left kidney and adrenal gland
Splenic flexure of colon
Parts of transverse and descending colon
