A ball with a horizontal speed of 1.3m/s rolls off a bench 3.7m high.

How long will the ball take to reach the floor?

How far from a point on the floor directly below the edge of the bench will the ball land?

To get the time for the ball to reach the floor it's (3.7m)/(9.8m/s) <-[the constant for standard acceleration due to gravity]. That'd give you 0.38s rounded off, then multiply that 0.38 seconds by the 1.3m/s to cancel the unit seconds and you'd get 0.49m. Overall the equation(s) would look like (3.7m)/(9.8m/s) = 0.38s | (0.38s)(1.3m/s) = 0.49m/
Interpretation:
The ball would take 0.38 seconds to reach the floor, and it would land 0.49m away from a point below the edge of the bench
