I have been banging my head on my desk for two days over this one. My lab proff. does not give out any information for this pre lab and we have to just kind of figure it out. The questions asks.
For each of the three possible substances in Nail Polish remover (acetone, ethyl acetate, isopropanol) calculate how many mL of the substance is required to prepare the maximum permissible limit of each in 50.00 mL of D.I water.
So I have

Acetone C3H6O and a max permissible limit of 2.3697 molecular weight = 58.08 density= 0.7899 g/mL

Ethyl Acetate  C4H8O2a max permissible limit 2.7009 molecular weight =88.12 density= 0.9003 g/mL

Isopropanol C3H8O a max permissible limit 2.3565  molecular weight =60.11 density= 0.7855

I have looked everywhere for an example how to calculate this and am at a total loss.

I was given no information on Max perm Limit. So any guidance on where to start would be of great help. so I have density and molecular weight do i calculate volume? or do I go with finding the mass and converting to grams by way of knowing the molecular weight and the moles of these substances. sorry I am so lost.
