5´—TAC ATG ATC ATT TCA CGG AAT TTC TAG CAT GTA—3´

3´—ATG TAC TAG TAA AGT GCC TTA AAG ATC GTA CAT—5´

the question is saying it encodes 5 amino acids, and considering the start codons and stop codons I still am not able to figure out how it encodes 5 amino acids and its frustrating  Undecided. the top strand is the strand that's to be transcribed, right?

If we use this as the template, we get:

UAC AUG AUC AUU UCA CGG AAU UUC UAG CAU GUA

AUC AUU UCA CGG AAU UUC Rightwards Arrow Results in five amino acids.

if an inversion occurs between the second and the third triplets from the left and right ends of the transcribed strand, how low will the polypeptide be then? still 5 amino acids or no?
