Skeletal muscle contracts when actin fibers move inbetween myosin fibers during which there is Ca outflow from the sarcoplasmic reticulum. Nerve conduction occurs when the Na- K pump changes the resting potential into action potential causing voltage difference. Nerve to nerve conduction occurs by release of neuro transmitters like acetylcholine.
