Something related to the RAS MAPK pathway, perhaps?

I am not sure.. maybe. I was not able to find a definition for it anywhere.
If it was related to MAPK and RAS, then what is the "syndrome" all about?

I'm assuming it has to do with RAS-MAPK signal transduction pathway.

Maybe you can make sense of this stuff: https://books.google.ca/books?id=ZePRV4LrjLYC&pg=PA282&lpg=PA282&dq=RAS+syndrome+cancer&source=bl&ots=9_4iOnrwI_&sig=CQ5b_DscjK0Bvlt06Rcx3eMrH2c&hl=en&sa=X&ei=k8WVVNASiZXJBI7JgKAD&ved=0CBwQ6AEwADgK#v=onepage&q=RAS%20syndrome%20cancer&f=false

It is the appearance of hemorrages, edemas, respiratory failure, and granulocytic infiltration among more symptoms... These are typical of a relapse after all trans retinoic acid chemotherapy in patients with Acute promyelocytic leukemia!!! And it is because of RAS that leukemic cells increase their invasion extravascularly by making use of selectins and integrins on endothelial cells and rolling onto them by diapedesis and finally secreting metalloproteinases to "digest" their way between them and out! The chemotherapy relapse caused an increased RAS expression that enhanced the leukemic cells' adhesion capabilities to the endothelial cells making them more capable of metastasis   Face with Open Mouth  Nerd Face
