1. Judging from the results in this labatory experiment what should be the effect of blood pressure on glomerular filtration?

2.  Persistent high blood pressure with inadequate glomerular filtration is now a frequent problem in western cultures.  Using the concept in this activity explain the health problems?

I may have found the answers.  If anyone could please tell me if they are correct.

1. When blood pressure increases glomerular filtration should also increase.

2. health problems include kidney failure, urinary tract infections, renal disease and kidney damage

When your blood pressure rises, it rises in the afferent arteriole, too.  That causes a greater outward filtration pressure within the renal corpuscle.  If your blood pressure drops, there is a lower outward filtration pressure due to a lower afferent arteriole pressure.
Example: If a person suffered a trauma and lost a lot of blood ,their blood pressure will drop. There will be no net outward pressure in the renal corpuscle, so no filtrate will form-- therefore no urine (to remove the wastes) will form; this is dangerous and the patient will require with IV fluids.

If the blood vessels in the kidneys are damaged from chronic Hypertension, they may stop removing wastes and extra fluid from the body. The extra fluid in the blood vessels may then raise blood pressure even more.
Healthy kidneys take creatinine out of the blood and put it into the urine to leave the body. When the kidneys are not working well, creatinine builds up in the blood.
An eGFR,Glomerular Filtration Rate with a value below 60 mL/min can indicate some kidney damage has occurred. The score means that a person's kidneys are not working at full strength.
