Phosphorylase Kinase

Purpose
In process of glycogenolysis
Phosphorylase Kinase activates the inactive Glycogen Phosphorylase which proceeds to convert glycogen into glucose

Root Breakdown Attempt
Kinase - Phosphate Transfer
Phospho- Phosphate
Phosphorylate- To add a phosphate

What I gather is that Phosphorylase Kinase adds a phosphate to a Phosphorylase.
Is that correct?  If I was correct is this always the context of Phosphorylase Kinase or does it have multiple functions? In what processes beyond glycogenolysis does does Phosphorylase Kinase operate?

Yes, it adds a phosphate to kinase, activating it. They are found in many biochemical reactions. In more general terms, phosphorylases are enzymes that catalyze the addition of a phosphate group from an inorganic phosphate (phosphate + hydrogen) to an acceptor.

Are there any other uses of phosphorylase kinase, specifically?  I've seen phosphorylates is in several situations but I haven't seen the phosphorylase kinase before. Thanks

It might be a reserved sequence found in several different pathways.

Here's a blurb I found on Wiki...
