mass of empty calorimeter = 4.25g
mass of calorimeter + cool water = 80.04g
cool mass minus cup = 75.79g
mass of cup + warm water = 59.57g
warm mass minus cup = 55.32g
mass of empty cup= 1.72g
initial temperature of calorimeter= 23.1°C
initial temperature of warm water = 69.1°C
final temperature of calorimeter = 41.9°C

A) Use the data you collected while viewing the multimedia presentation (^up there) to calculate the experimental specific heat capacity for the warm water tested.

B) Calculate the experimental specific heat capacity for the warm water tested taking into account all of the data provided in the chart above.  Compare your calculated value from A above with this average specific heat capacity. Justify significant differences between your two calculations.

"Calculate the molar enthalpies of reaction for the reactions occurring in Parts A and B." and "Use the information in the introduction to “INVESTIGATION 11.3” on page 517 of the textbook to arrange the provided reaction equations in order that they can be combined to create the reaction equation for the combustion of magnesium."
