This is really more of a chemistry question...

A mM is simply 10^-3 Molar, which is defined as the number of moles per liter (technically cm^3) of solution. Via dimensional analysis, it can be seen that in the expression \(\left\(\frac{.02 \; \mbox{mol}}{\mbox{L}}\right\) \; * \; \left\(.750 \; \mbox{L} \right \)\) L cancels out to give us .015 mol. Once again, dimensional analysis shows that if we multiple this value by the molecular weight, 180 g/mol, the mol units will cancel out and we will be left with 2.7 grams.
