A tear in the fovea would result in _____.

A)blurred vison
B)red-green color deficiency
C)reduced sensitivity to light
D)complete blindness

I know that the fovea has to do with seeing color and taking in light, so I'm not sure if the answer is B or C.
i think that it is C. am i right?

Hello there,

I say it is C. The fovea is a color spot for 3 colors and it is sensitive to light as well.
B is wrong because it listed only 2.
A is incorrect because blurred vision is not by virtue of damaged foveas, rather by resolution of the image and so may be a caused by a problem in the lens convexity, or cornea etc. Finally, D is also incorrect because a complete blindess results by either the image focused on the blind spot, or a completely severed optic nerve or optic chiasm.
