Good question...

1) Register Rightwards Arrow Activate account
2) Click "Ask a Question" button at the bottom right Rightwards Arrow If a reply is made, you get an email
3) You're good to go.

I designed this website to make it fool-proof for everyone.

I applaud you guys that run this site, it takes a lot of work, i see to be on top of what needs fixing.
Its almost like a house, although you have it there are always maintenance jobs that needs to be done.
So Thank you for putting up with us, and being ready to help us.

I don't know if this is an issue or not, but just a FYI to others. I found that if you download something with a download accelerator, like IDM, that each thread is counted as a download. So if downloading one file w/2 connection threads, it counts as 2 downloads.

I'm new around here, i honestly don't feel that this forum is good, no offence to Admin.
I was going through some threads and it says that i have to get a paid subscription to view the best answer. You can't put a price on knowledge.

Hi there,
I currently work as a pentester and I wanted to point out a few security issues that if addressed could improve the overall security of this forum's users and the quality:

- Implement mandatory HTTPS. This would require the administrators to redirect every connection on an http (cleartext) channel to https (encrypted). It would also require implementing a third party signed certificate.
- Disable obsolete https cipher suites. You should only support TLS 1.1 and greater and disable every CBC and RC4 based ciphers.
- Implement a CAPTCHA system. The current CAPTCHA system is not properly implemented. The answer for the CAPTCHA can be seen on the http code. Creating a bot that can fetch those answers (thus creating an infinite amount of accounts) is trivial. You should consider implementing reCAPTCHA or similar.
- Enforce a password policy. Passwords should be at least 8 characters, contain lower and upper caps letters, numbers and special characters. Of course these are the best practices, if this is too hard to implement, a password with at least 8 characters a number and upper-lower caps letters is sufficient.

Hope this helps!
Kind Regards,
Alex.

Could you copy-paste where you see this?
