Would it be possible to single individual yeast cells at home without the need for a micromanipulator? what is the cost of the cheapest micromanipulator if this isn't possible?

/pubmed/13666896 i found this, which may supply the answer but I couldn't find access to the text (also couldnt link the website due to account status).

Thanks!

Why would you want to isolate a single cell? (I'm curious lol)

I would like to test the effect of different amino acids on individual cells to see their longevity and also to see the cell culture growth rate, i was hoping of some dye i could i use to be able to locate a cell from a crowd, i take it that may not be possible?

This sort of thing is rarely done on a single cell.

If you want to study growth, use selective growth medium.

I have no clue how to isolate a single cell, never needed it.
