I need help with these two equations, please. And if anyone has really good tips to make balancing easier, please share them with me !

a) Aluminum Iodide and chlorine gas react to form aluminum chloride and
Iodine gas.

b) Sodium sulphate and calcium chloride react to form calcium sulphate and
sodium chloride.

AlI3(it's Al and capital i) is the formula for aluminum iodide
And Cl(g) is chlorine g.The (g) symbolizes gas. Similarly (l) symbolizes liquid, (s) is solid and (aq) us aqueous meaning dissolved in water and is usually used for acids.

1) 2AlI3 + 2Cl (g) ---->2 AlCl + 3I2(g)

I2(It's capital i) is diatomic meaning it will always come with a 2 next to it when by itself. Other diatomic molecules are hydrogen H2, nitrogen N2, fluorine F2, oxygen O2, iodine I2 , carbon C2, bromine B2. How I remember it is.

Have - hydrogen H2

No- nitrogen N2

Fear - fluorine F2

Of - oxygen O2

Ice - iodine I2

Cold - carbon C2

Beer- bromine B2



2) Sodium sulfate= Na2SO4
 Calcium chloride= CaCl2
 Calcium sulfate CaSO4
 Sodium chloride=NaCl

So:

 Na2SO4 + CaCl2 ----> CaSO4 + 2NaCl
