I'm writing up some notes for my biology and the description of the function of the nuclear envelope is a bit unclearly phrased;"Nuclear envelope; Function; regulates exchange between nucleus and cytoplasm, some protein synthesis"

I wasn't sure if it meant that the function is to regulate blah blah blah AND THEN some protein synthesis as well, or if the function is to regulate exchange AND to REGULATE protein synthesis.

So does the nuclear envelope regulate "some protein synthesis"?
Or does it does it DO "some protein synthesis"?

Thank you! Slight Smile

There is no protein synthesis within the nucleus.
