the cortical nephron is mainly in the cortex of the kidney, is has the peritubular capillaries.

the JM nephrons loop of henle dips deeply into the medulla of the kidney. it also has the juxtaglomerular apparatus, part of distal convoluted tubule/afferent arteriole, which makes renin. its capillaries are called the vasa recta

i also wanted to point out that this question would be better in the medicine or biology section. botany is the study of plants. do kidney beans have nephrons?
