As a police officer or corrections officer, what obligation do you have to tell a superior if you witnessed another officer engaged in some wrongdoing? If it’s a minor policy violation - do you keep it to yourself? This is an opinion question and you may or may not use sources.

To start off i just want to say that this question would depend on the type of person someone is and what their mentally is. Whether you're an easy going or a strict person, you might think differently and might approach a situation differently. As for me i like it sweet and simply, but there are those people who want everything perfect, i’m pretty sure we know theses type of people. I mean i don’t disagree with them on being strict because i’d rather be safe then sorry. Now back to the question, i really don’t have any police or military background but i have seen many videos which had ethical and unethical behaviors.
