 B) After transcription, enzymes process the mRNA transcript in the nucleus, removing introns.

After the transcription of the "primary" transcript, the nascent RNA is processed in the nucleus to go from being the "pre-mRNA" to being the final mRNA that is then exported to the cytoplasm. THe spliceosome and its components are located in the nucleus, therefore, the correct answer is "B".
