How and why would population size affect the allele frequency in a gene pool?

Thank you in advance!

A larger population size keeps diversity intact with varying alleles for a gene, whereas having a smaller population size can result in either dominant OR recessive traits to be expressed more often, thus losing genetic variability.

The greater the population size, the greater the frequency of alles. This is because with an increase population size, it means there is a greater chance of a orangism mating with another organism of different alles, which means there offspring will have a greater genetic diversity, hence greater allels
