what is the relation between the temperature and respiration rate.During hypothermia the respiration rate decreases(hypoventilation)??
Plz provide a detail answer.

All body functions are slowed in hypothermia, including heart rate, breathing rate, metabolism and mental activity.

respiration rate is dependent on the amount of oxygen you need. A increase in temp usually means you are working harder aka more oxygen need aka increased respiration. So like bio man said during hypothermia (low body temp) everything slows down. The biggest thing that effects respiration is metabolic rate or how you make energy. So if the metabolic rate slows down that mean you require less oxygen and therefore less respiration
