We talked in class about how many odd-sounding side effects of medications used to treat one target organ relate to the presence of similar receptors on many other target organs. Let’s take an example: Ditropan—used for irritable bladder. Look up its side effects at a reliable site on the Internet. Pick FOUR side effects and explain physiologically how this drug causes each of those side effects. (The explanation should reference the drug’s mechanism of action on neurotransmitters/receptors.)
