You are out on the bike trail when you come across a group of bikers assisting a male victim in his mid-twenties sitting next to the trail. The victim is alert but confused. He is breathing at 18 breaths per minute with good chest rise. His skin is extremely pale, cool, and clammy. His radical pulse is 124 per minute. He is unable to answer any of your questions appropriately when you attempt to gather a chief complaint and history. During your assessment, you do not note any injuries; however, you discover a medical alert tag that has diabetic inscribed on the back.
1.What condition do you suspect the victim is experiencing?
2.What specific signs and symptoms would lead you to that suspicion?
3.What first aid would you provide to the victim?
