Laser rays travel at the speed of light c = 3*10^8 m/s
Now let distance of moon from earth be x metres...hence the total diatance cOvered by the laser is 2*x...
Therefore, using the formula distance = speed * time, we get,

2*x=c*2.5  (where c is the apeed of light)
 Solving for x,

X= 3.75 * 10^8
