You are a forensic biologist and have been asked to review the files of an old, unsolved murder case. The autopsy report is missing a lot of important information, but you read that the victim had a thymus gland that was just starting to shrink. Based on this information alone, what can you conclude about the victim?

Thymus gland: At birth of a human being, this gland weighs < an ounce at puberty it will attain a maximum size about 10 ounces. After childhood and teenage, cells of the thymus gland begin to shrink followed by atrophy so that in the above case, it is clearly observed with autopsy of victim who was murdered had a thymus gland that is just starting to shrink. At this age T and B lymphocytes differentiate to produce defense against pathogens and infectious diseases. Sometimes thymus gland atrophy is due to severe pressure applied at the region of location of thymus gland. Thereby it can be concluded that the murdered person is above 20 years old and murdered by applying severe pressure at anteriorly at chest region in the neck of vertebrae.
