Hundred-gallon drums are being filled with 2-butoxyethanol. The drums are being splash filled at the rate of 60 drums per hour. The bung opening through which the drums are being filled has a diameter of 4 cm. The ventilation rate in the filling station is 6000 ft 3 /min, using k = 0.1. The vapour pressure of 2-butoxyethanol is 0.6 mm Hg under these conditions.Would the concentration of 2-butoxyethanol in the filling station meet its required

TLV of 20 ppm? If not, what could be done to bring its concentration to or lower than the TLV?
