harold works in a fish market. but the odor does not bother him because he has anosmia, an X linked recessive lacked of sense of smell, harold's wife shirley has a normal sense of smell, both of shirley's parents cannot smell normally. yet shirley's mother tells her that maternal grandfather lacked a sense of smell. determine the probability that harold and shirley's children (sons and daughters ) will inherit anosmia. show all your work using punett square

You need two large A's to have it. One large A and one small a makes the condition masked. Look at the four kids in the punnet square, two of them will have it, and two of them will not. One of the two that won't have it is a male, while the other is a female... correct me if I'm wrong.

but the question determine the probability that their children will inherit anosmia. so you're saying that their child (son and daughter) will have a 75% chance to inherit it?

Well, it's 50/50 so the proportionalities are the same whether they inherit it or not Thinking Face
