IgA antibody are most commonly found in bodily secretions. For example, it can be found in Mucus, Saliva, Tears, and Milk. It's the job of IgA to bind to viruses and bacteria and prevent their attachment and entry into the cells of  mucous membranes and beyond.

so if there is a lack of IgA in the body then the person will have a weakened first line of defense. So they wont be able to fight off those germs we encounter every day so well. and since most people breath through their noses it is the first place where germs can enter the body. So if there is weakened immunity in that area then they will be prone to sinus infections.
