A) Silent mutation, CGU is changed to CGG, both translate to Arg. No change in amino acid chain which means it is silent.
B) Nonsense mutation, UGC (cystine) is changed to UGA which codes for STOP. An early stop codon is a nonsense mutation
C) Missense mutation. CCA (proline) is changed to UCA (serine), a change in amino acids is a missense mutation.
D) Frameshift. Any indel (insertion/deletion of a nucleotide) causes the entire chain to shift, making most or all amino acids different.
