I'm trying to make bacterial growth curve. So I was told to do serial dilutions first to determine how much to put in the cuvette for OD, but how do I calculate that number? I'm so confused. Is there a fixed cell number for OD?

as above but also the spectrophometer is really only accurate between 0.1 and 1 so if you measure a serial dilution you'll be sure that at some point your absorption will be between these values.

but mainly as above
