What role does the mitochondrion play in the reactions of the Krebs cycle and the Electron Transport chain?

mitochondria is where all the cell respiration stuff happens. The krebs cycle and the ETC happens within the mitochondria. It breaks down Acetyl Co-A (sugars that you eat) and makes ATP (energy). ETC is where electrons go through different complexes and also creates ATP.

Not going into too much detail, mitochondria is where citric acid cycle(krab cycle) and ETC take place. Many different mitochondrial protein are involve in the process. for example in ETC, mitochondrial inner membrane consists of complex1, complex2, complex 3, cyc c, complex 4. they are all trans-membrane protein. complex 1 is a NADH dehydrogenase convert NADH to NAD+ and H+ ion to generate electron  gradient to drive the ATP synthase for ATP production.
