In Activity 5, it is clear that hyperventilation or rapid breathing causees PCO2 levels to continually decrease.  Why is this?

thanks, bio_man...i had finally figured out that CO2 was being removed from blood due to increased respirations.  thank you, though, for taking it to the next level and explaining alkalosis!
