I disagree with the solution.  Peristalsis is not unique or limited to the large intestine.  The wave-like motion occurs in the esophagus and the small intestines as well.

 Perhaps the best choice is -Mass movement- these are the long, slow, powerful  movements characteristic of the large intestine and occur several times a day
