It would be better if the whole chapter was available but one problem i ran into was.

Should the experiment shown in Figure 14.3 be considered a failure? Why or why not?

Have you heard of Mendel's proposed a hypothesis called particulate inheritance? It suggests that hereditary determinants maintain their integrity from generation to generation. This directly contradicts both the blending inheritance and inheritance of acquired characteristics hypotheses.

What chapter and textbook are you using?

So would the experiment be considered a failure? and I also need help on other questions if you dont mind. Would you have all the answers like there are for other chapters posted on here?

I believe so. It really depends. Best thing would be to start a new topic for question you're stuck on, and if I know the answer, I'll post it.

ALSO, make sure you post the chapter where it's coming from.

What chapter is this question from?

Evidence for the particulate inheritance hypothesis: When two true-breeding pea plants (round versus wrinkled seeds) are crossed, all of the offspring have round seeds.

a. Traits did not blend together to produce intermediate phenotypes (Fig. 14.2b).
b. The genetic component for the wrinkled seed seemed to disappear.
When you like a flower, you just pluck it out.
But when you love a flower, you water it daily.
The one who understands this, understands life.

- That's the difference between I like you and I love you.
