Overview of Prefixes
Prefix means to fix before or to fix to the beginning of a word.
Prefixes can be a syllable or a group of syllables placed at the beginning of words to alter or modify their meanings or to create entirely new words.

one meaning
Just like suffixes, many prefixes have more than one meaning.
To be able to identify the correct meaning of the prefix, you will need to analyze the definition of the medical word.
