Charlotte Neylon Text Analytics: Philadelphia Eagles After reviewing the summary report, I discovered that the Philadelphia Eagles had 53 (48%) of positive tweets, 31 (28%) of neutral tweets, and 26 (24%) of negative tweets. The categories that the tweets fell under are music, movies, news and politics, technology & computing, sports, business and finance, fine art, shopping, video gaming, books, hotels, hobbies & interests, style, personal finance, home & garden, and food & drink. I was very shocked by the wide range of categories that the Philadelphia Eagles’ tweets fall under. I would assume they would mostly be under the sports and entertainment category. The theme analysis shows that the highest positive commonly used positive words are bonus points was used 75%, special batch was used 71%, head coach was used 69%, head coach was used 69%, latest audible was used 69%, status report was used 65%, happy birthday was used 60%, mission is to protect was used 59%, a good test was used 59%, and fresh and feeling was used 59%. The negative most commonly used words are injury report was used 68%, double team was used 58%, hard fought matchup was used 54%, your swagger show was used 53%, matt pryor was used 51%, effort zach ertz was used 52%, coordinator jim Schwartz was used 51%, and quarter back carson wentz was used 51%. I am surprised that the most positive commonly used words were what they were because they are not specifically related to football, however, the most common negative words used were more related to football content. Overall, I felt this report was insufficiently truthful. There were mistakes in identifying tweets as negative when they were actually positive throughout this story. The majority of the mistakes originated from this report's lack of understanding of football slang phrases.
