Muscles of the ¬forearm and the retinaculum.

Description
Muscles in the forearm contract to extend and straighten the fingers. Each muscle has a long tendon that travels across the wrist to one or more of the fingers. These ¬tendons are held in place by the retinaculum, a translucent, horizontal band of tissue.
