Weighing Boat

Description
Weigh boats are containers used to weigh substances that will be transferred to another lab glassware to prevent reagents from contacting the balance pan. They are made of polypropylene, a plastic that does not adsorb water. Weigh Boats have a smooth surface with rounded corners which allow controlled pouring of liquid, powdered or granular samples. Weigh Boats are resistant to dilute acids and bases and chemically inert. Weigh Boats will withstand temperatures up to 93 degrees Celsius / 200 degrees Fahrenheit and can be used with microwave moisture analyzers. They are inexpensive and do not need to be handled with care. If one is torn or too dirty to be wiped clean, simply discard it.
