Distal and ¬proximal directions

Description
Moving in a distal direction is moving from where the limb is attached to the body toward the fingers or toes (at the end of the limb). Moving in a proximal direction is moving from the fingers or toes toward where the limb is attached to the body. Distal and proximal are opposite directions.
