Structure of a bone.

Description
A long bone has a diaphysis (shaft) and epiphyses (ends). The internal structure has areas of dense cortical bone for weight bearing, a medullary cavity that contains yellow marrow, and bone ends of cancellous bone filled with red marrow that produces blood cells.
