Description
Clear the popliteal catchment area. Stand next to the recipient’s knee, and face the head of the table. Place both hands under the person’s knee with palms up and fingers interlaced. Lift up into the popliteal space until the knee begins to bend. Maintain this pressure and stretch the skin toward the trunk. When the skin is stretched as far as possible without sliding over the skin, release quickly, and allow the skin to return to the starting position. Repeat 10 to 15 times.
