PROTEIN 101!

Description
Essential for building new tissue and repairing damaged tissue, protein is the major building block for all the cells of our body, and is involved in virtually every process within these cells.

When you eat enough protein, its much easier to stay full and it will also help build, repair and most importantly – maintain muscle mass. This is crucial when in a caloric deficit and trying to lose body fat. You need to hold onto the all the muscle you can.

As far as intake goes, most sensible sources would recommend getting in 1g per pound of body weight. So it’s your job to get at least your bodyweight in pounds in protein (e.g. lean/organic cuts of meat and fish, eggs, chicken, seeds and protein shakes) every day.
