Gender and Play in Children (1 of 2)

Description
If research studies showed that young boys were more likely than young girls to want to dress up and pretend to be a police officer, how might we explain this? Would it be a matter of biological differences such as the influence of prenatal sex hormones? The result of learned behavior from media and adult role models? Perhaps a combination of these explanations, or even other reasons altogether?
